La Spina Constructions has agreed terms with the Office of Fair and Safe Work Queensland on an Enforceable Undertaking following an incident on one of our construction sites. The undertaking commits La Spina Constructions to delivering benefits to workers, industry and the community. To achieve this the initiatives agreed included;
· Donation to the Cairns Hospital Foundation
· Development & Delivery of detailed Company Induction
· Development and public delivery of a Generic North Queensland Construction Training Course specific for the environmental conditions in tropical environment.
· Course content made available to the industry through industry associations
· Review and enhancement of industry void protection
· A commitment to maintain an OHS Management System to AS4801:2001 OHS Management Systems
